The story of Emily

Once upon time, there was a lovely young girl. With 4 older sisters and 1 younger sister, she lived a life of relaxation and daydreams. Her long, silken hair was combed daily by one of her adoring older sisters and she spent the majority of each day as a living doll, being dressed up and carried everywhere by the other girls.

Until one day when an evil dragon swooped in as Emily sat playing in the front yard. Emily's screams grew faint as she was carried up over the trees and away into the distance. The 4 older sisters ran in circles in the front field, not sure what to do. The baby sister sat ignored on the front stoop, crying in dismay as she watched her big sister borne away by the wickedly sharp taloned feet of the dragon.

All might have been lost had not at that exact moment, a handsome and dashing young man, Joshua, not arrived on a pegasus to deliver the family's weekly bounty of royal honey. Upon seeing the distress of the sisters and hearing the fading shrieks of poor Emily, he immediately sprang into action. With nary a thought to his job, he flung the honey to the ground and took to the sky. The sister's screams and wails turned to excited cries and they cheered Joshua on.

Emily had nearly given up hope of ever seeing her loving sisters or parents again and had gone limp in the dragon's clawed foot - when, she happened to look back and see the strangest sight... a super duper handsome (even in the throes of terror and panic, Emily was girl enough to recognize a handsome man when she saw him!) young man giving chase on a beautiful winged horse. The horse was jet black with a striking white blaze down its face, 3 white stocking feet, and had a gloriously flowing mane and tail. Had Emily not been tightly clutched in the dragon's claws, she would have swooned away from the epic romance of it all. Such a beautiful horse ridden by SUCH a super hot guy!

Joshua urged his pegasus to fly faster, drew a long and shiny sword from a scabbard hung from his waist, and before the dragon quite realized there was trouble, its heart had been pierced and it was falling from the sky. As the dragon tumbled to the ground, Joshua swooped down and gently grabbed Emily.

With beating heart and bated breath, Emily slowly looked up and saw that her initial judgement had been correct - this guy was super hot! And for his part, Joshua looked down and upon seeing the gorgeous creature in his arms, immediately resolved to marry her. The pegasus hovered for a few moments as the two gazed at each other in wonder and then flew on to Emily's house where Joshua was greeted as a conquering hero and Emily was embraced in the grateful arms of her family.

Thankfully for Joshua, in light of his heroism in the danger-fraught rescue of Emily, was not fired from his job. And Emily's father was more than happy to give Emily's hand in marriage to the man who had saved her from certain death. After a brief courtship (which seemed never-ending to the young lovebirds), they were married in a small and intimate wedding and set out for a life on their own.

So Joshua and Emily lived happily ever after. Joshua delivering honey to the local townsfolk on his winged steed and Emily doing what she does best - shopping and running errands for others!
